VR amplifies a message because it takes audiences right to the heart of an issue. In Partnership with Googles VR team, ‘The Female Planet’ is a collection of 360º films allowing the audience to shadow five extraordinary women who share their personal and professional experiences, showcasing female role models who are breaking barriers and helping make the world a better place for all of us.

The team used the latest YiHalo stereo cameras to produce stunning VR films using a range of complex rigging and grip systems to take the audience into the lives of these extraordinary women.

This series was shot in 3D 360 with the new YI HALO camera and Google’s Jump technology. The YI HALO features 17 cameras in a 360 array, resulting in high resolution 3D video and a a feeling of being truly immersed in the stories. You feel as if you’re really walking alongside Gina, Tiera, and Inna!

The series, directed by Mary Matheson has been distributed around the world.

"In my role at Google, I want to use VR technology to make it easier for young women to shadow and learn from global female leaders."
