Forest Makers
Xingu, BrazilThe Xingu Seed Network brings indigenous people together to collect and plant seeds, from trees and other plants native to the Xingu, Araguaia and Teles Pires regions in Brazil, that are then sold to landowners and farmers for them to reforest their land. So far, the network has reforested more than 6.6 thousand hectares of degraded areas in the Xingu and Araguaia Basin.
Extreme-E
GlobalExtreme E is an FIA-sanctioned international off-road racing series that uses electric SUVs to race in remote parts of the world, such as the Saudi Arabian desert or the Arctic. All racing locations are chosen to raise awareness for some aspects of climate change and Extreme E maintains a “Legacy Programme” which intends to provide social and environmental support for those locations.
